Florida Addictions Institute's faculty were chosen not only because of their status as experts in
their individual specializations, but also because of their love of teaching and ability to impart
their knowledge to students. Each instructor has been recognized by their peers as being
masters of their subject matter and leaders in the treatment community, and each
instructor teaches a course which he/she finds both exciting and inspirational.

Elena Aleman
Faculty
Educational/Organizational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University,
MS in Mental Health Counseling from Florida International University, and
BS in Psychology from Florida International University. LMHC (Licensed
Mental Health Counselor -- State of
Health Supervisor. Twelve years experience including: program director of
an outpatient substance abuse program, clinical supervisor, and private
practice counseling. 
A.W. Bancroft
CAP (Certified Addictions Professional -- State of Florida and US
Department of Defense) and Certified Facilitator at University of West
Florida and University of Arizona. Trained and certified by Johnson
Institute. Preferred interventionist for the Betty Ford Center and Reverend
Leo’s Spiritual Concepts. Twenty-three years experience including:
Executive/Clinical Director of Alcoholism Treatment Services, Director of
Outpatient Services/Marketing of The Cloisters, Clinical Director of Charter
Glade Hospital, and Founding Clinical Director of Alcohol Rehabilitation
Services for the US Navy in Quantico, Virginia. 
Rosemary Boisvert
Faculty
CAP (Certified Addictions Professional -- State of Florida) Licensed
Occupational Therapist -- State of Florida. Master’s Degree from Florida
Gulf Coast University. Managing Director of the Adult Intensive Services
Program for Southwest Florida Addiction Services. Seven year’s direct
service experience. Creator of an award winning occupational therapy
program for the Transitional Living Center and avid researcher in best
practice protocols. Author or co-author of several scholarly papers in print
or in submission for peer-review prior to publication.
Peter Bright
Faculty
Ph.D. in Epidemiology from the University of South Florida, MSPH in
Epidemiology from University of South Florida, Juris Doctorate in Law from
the Florida State University College of Law, and AS in Nursing from the
University of the State of New York. Over sixteen years experience at
program director level, including: Director of Prevention and Education of
the Island Coast AIDS Network in Fort Myers.

Dana Kinnard
Faculty
MS from Nova Southeastern University. LMHC (Licensed Mental Health
Counselor -- State of Florida), NCC (National Certified Counselor --
National Board for Certified Counselors), Diplomat - International Association of Behavioral Medicine, Counseling and Psychotherapy and State of Florida Board
Qualified Clinical Supervisor. Clinical Director for the Lee County Coalition for a Drug Free Southwest Florida, 11 years experience providing professional counseling to adults, youth and families, forensic assessments for juveniles incarcerated by the Dept. of Juvenile Justice, and parent education program director.

Edwina M. Laymon
Faculty
CAP (Certified Addictions Professional -- State of Florida), MAC (Master
Addiction Counselor – National Board for Certified Counselors), NCAC II
(National Counseling Association Certification II), and CCJS (Certified
Criminal Justice Specialist -- State of Florida). Forty years experience in
substance abuse treatment including Supervisor of the Substance Abuse
Department of the Hendry-Glades Behavioral Health Center. Honored as
the Florida Alcohol and Drug Abuse Association’s 2006 Professional of
the Year.

Wallace Neal
Faculty
MSW from Hunter College, NY and BS in Human Services from Audrey
Cohen College, NY. Certified Addiction Professional for State of Florida.
Clinical Director of Adult Services, Southwest Florida Addictions Services,
Fort Myers, FL. Seventeen years experience in residential and drug court
substance abuse treatment, including directing transitional programs and
residential facilities for up to 200 ex-offenders.

Nancy Regenold
Faculty
MSW from Ferris State University School of Social Work and BSW from
Ferris State University. CAP (Certified Addictions Professional -- State of
Florida), LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker -- State of Florida), and
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Levels I and
II). Sixteen years experience including; Program Director of Youth
Outpatient Department of Southwest Florida Addictions Services, Clinical
Supervisor at Spectrum Programs in Fort Lauderdale, and private practice
counseling.

Jeannie K. Simpson
Faculty
MS from Barry University and BA in Humanities from State University
College at Buffalo. Alcohol Studies Program at University of New Mexico
and Juvenile Sex Offender Counseling Program at University of Louisville.
Certified Addictions Professional, State of Florida, Licensed Mental Health
Counselor, State of Florida, Master Addiction Counselor, National Board
for Certified Counselors and National Certified Counselor, National Board
for Certified Counselors.
Mitchell Wallick
Faculty
Ph.D. in Addictions and Ph.D. in Education and Counseling. Certified
Addictions Professional and Certified Mental Health Professional for the
state of Florida. Internationally Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor,
Fellow - American College of Certified Forensic Counselors, American
Academy of Health Care Providers. Dr. Wallick is the Executive
Director of the Comprehensive Addiction Rehabilitation and Education
Center, Fort Lauderdale.
