Institute's Certificate Program in Addictions Counseling
The Florida Addictions Institute's 350-CEU, 14-month Certificate Program provides a
coordinated and comprehensive education in substance abuse counseling:
1. Coordinated and comprehensive Institute Courses provide both an in-depth understanding
of the nature of addictions and hands-on counseling skills.
2. Adult-learner model which allows completion evenings without disrupting
current employment.

The Florida Addictions Institute offers a 350-CEU Certificate Program in Addictions Counseling,
consisting of 12 courses. Nine 100-level courses provide the depth of knowledge and
understanding about the nature and treatment of addiction, and
three 200-level courses provide counseling skills.

The Florida Addictions Institute recommends that you contact the Florida Certification Board for specific information on service hours and other requirements for certification.
Cost
Tuition for the 2010-2011 academic year is set at $11.67/CEU and includes all classroom
materials. Courses providing 30 CEU's, therefore, are $350.00, and courses providing 20
CEU's are $225.00. Textbooks are extra. Very often, employers will pay for or reimburse the
cost of tuition when the coursework enahances job-related skills. If not paid by employer,
students may utilize MasterCard, VISA, cash, or personal check to cover tuition and textbook
